Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of compound semiconductor and silicon wafer processes. They will be self-motivated, hands-on, and resourceful problem-solvers with the capacity to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical issues and implement practical solutions to complicated problems.
You will design, develop, integrate, and refine various aspects of the LED and LED packaging process that may include lithography, thin film deposition, wet and dry etching techniques, laser ablation, electrolytic and electroless plating, wafer thinning, and singulation. You will work closely with the Soraa Process Engineering team and Manufacturing team to transition newly developed processes into production.
Design, develop and transfer novel and robust manufacturing processes for LED die and packaging to deliver world-record device performance. Interface with production team to start the transfer of these methods to production.
Establish strong working relationships with internal customers Epitaxy, Luminescent Materials, Test and Lamps groups to facilitate data flow and experimental results for the broader organization. Lead ? from concept to results analysis - short loop experimental designs to advance fundamental understanding of various process modules and their impact on the overall product performance when integrated into full production flow.
Hands-on interaction and oversight of a team of technicians to accomplish day-to-day experimental goals
