Senior Process Development Engineer QD Vision
Mission
Develop next-generation ink manufacturing and product assembly processes to enable, create and meet customer demand for quantum dot based products. Utilizing fundamental engineering principles, develop innovative processes and materials that help meet product stability and cost goals. Drive understanding of underlying physical and chemical phenomena during development of new processes.
Competencies
Technical
MS / PhD in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Strong engineering fundamentals. Capability to do back of the envelope calculations
3-5 years hands-on industrial R&D experience in a materials or chemicals development environment
Demonstrated success in leading projects from conceptual design through installation, start-up, and qualification
Experience in the use of statistics to design experiments and draw sound conclusions
Behavioral
Very comfortable with primarily direct hands-on methods as opposed to delegating
Capable of independently identifying problems and providing appropriate solutions
Capable of juggling multiple tasks simultaneously while having the drive to take each to a conclusion as quickly as possible
Able to both independently manage priorities, and also take direction to change priorities based on discussions with managers and co-workers
Aggressive to independently take charge and take actions as necessary when the organizational structure and responsibility is not clearly defined
