Process/ Project Engineer- Natural Gas, Refining, LNG, or
related Energy Industry
A Process Engineer should have at least 3 to 5 years or more of specific Industry related experience.
This Candidate would provide process engineering design of new facilities or retrofitting built equipment
for new applications, and for possible support for operating facilities including gas conditioning and
dehydration, gas treating and sweetening, gas processing, NGL fractionation, compression and cryogenic
equipment, and all related subsystems.
Responsibilities include process simulation modeling (Winsim, Promax, or Protreat), equipment and
instrumentation specification, cost estimating, P&ID review and Process Safety Management (PSM).
A Project Engineer should also have at least 3 to 5 years or more of specific Industry related experience.
This Candidate would provide the ability to take AFE quality proposals for new or equipment to be
refurbished and/or relocated and develop, implement, and achieve a successful project which is on budget
and schedule. This included gathering and contracting/ working with the proper external resources;
developing and maintaining project schedules; construction drawing development, reviews, and asbuilting;
working with field construction contractors; overseeing field construction; logistics and all the
subparts of Project Management for a Client or for Onstream Operations, LLC.
A combination of the above two roles will be most beneficial; however, the focus on either one singly is
acceptable as the other role can be learned.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Provides overall or task specific process or project engineering technical expertise or knows
where to get this direction..
? Stewards the interface between the project team and all contractors with respect to process and
project engineering.
? Verifies all FEED process engineering, design, and design basis. Verify proposals are thorough
and complete, adhering to the appropriate set of specifications.
? Ensures that the FEED requirements, as detailed in the Technical Specifications and Scope of
Supply, for all process engineering aspects are met. Similarly, ensure that Project Specs,
Designs, etc. are developed and implemented throughout the assigned Project.
? Ability to perform and/or understand process simulation and calculations to support their
evaluations. Knowledge of fluid flow and flow assurance. Ability to develop equipment and
instrumentation specification sheets, solicit and evaluate bids, order and track Purchase Orders,
coordinate equipment in a shop or field setting, get results.
? Assist in the development of best practice corporate guidelines, processes and procedures.
Good understanding of E&P surface facilities (process through to operations) and an
understanding of interface requirements with subsurface disciplines and commercial to enable
incorporation of multi-discipline results into the process engineering element of development
studies and FEED work.
? Can readily analyze existing issues or operating problems in Existing Facilities, can develop
corrective action, cost estimate the solutions, present the options to Client with pros/cons, and can
implement the fixes uses his process/ project knowledge and other Resources.
? Can develop and/or accept a Project, build a Project team with in-house or out-sourced Resources
and handle a small or large Project with Client?s timing, budget, and quality constraints.
? Can successfully work with Clients (Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement Systems if
applicable), Manufacturers/ Fabricators, other Engineering Firms, Field Construction Contractors,
supplier
? Familiarity with OSHA PSM/ EPA RMP?s technical aspect; understands other Safety programs
associated with the Industry.
? Familiar with most Industry applicable Codes and Standards, and/ or can interpret such when
needed.
EXPERIENCE
? Appreciable experience in process engineering on gas processing/ conditioning, LNG plants,
Refinery gas and fuel systems, with experience in leadership roles.
? Experience of a client/operator environment and knowledge of breadth and depth of process
engineering needed to enable quality control of contractor technical work, ensuring appropriate
techniques and standards.
? Understand existing asset facilities, including performance and process limitations to maximize
the value of these facilities in the future development of assets.
? Investigation and resolution of operating problems in existing Assets.
? Extensive operating company, engineering or E&C LNG plant, process engineering and
troubleshooting experience, with preparation of plant commissioning, start-up and operating
manuals.
? BS / MS/ Engineering degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.

Metering; Storage, Loading, PSVs, flares, and vents; Fabrication and Construction; Startup and
Operations.
