Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Procurement Manager will proactively investigate areas of leverage and potential savings, review cost effectiveness, solicit bids, negotiate with suppliers and be responsible for negotiating various types of agreements for purchases of equipment and services. Focus will be on the procurement and negotiation of telecom and hosting service agreements, professional services, marketing vendors, software licensing agreements, and hardware/maintenance contracts. The Senior Procurement Manager will oversee the negotiating, structuring, and management of contractual documents for the company. This position directs and oversees facility maintenance for all company buildings and offices.
? Works with the CFO and other department managers to establish the strategic direction for the Procurement organization
? Lead strategic sourcing activities and professionalize the sourcing of materials & services, in addition to the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of contracts.
? Develop and align own work plan, objectives, priorities, and processes within the context of the overall supply management and stakeholder community priorities and processes.
? Identify, initiate and sustain direct interactions with appropriate internal stakeholders / functional / operating teams within the business to drive ?buying? behavior change required to meet business project objectives and facilitate implementation of the approved sourcing strategies.
? Act as liaison in daily interactions with suppliers, vendors, purchasing team, and global deployments group
? Assist in resolving issues relating to supplier performance or deviations from original work estimates
? Perform first level support to investigate and resolve order problems (both internal and external)
? Manage the Purchase Order process from approval to invoice payment and follow up on open purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery and communicate with internal customers
? Monitor contracts for adherence to company policy and regulatory compliance, and for maintenance expiration
? Conduct data gathering and analysis of internal needs. Develop and follow supply market knowledge and insight (e.g. suppliers, price trends, cost drivers, acquisitions & disposals etc.).
? Innovate on the current vendor management and sourcing process
? Develop appropriate sourcing strategies for all spend within area of responsibility.
? Develop and deliver continuous improvements in the quality, cost, delivery and support of services
? Oversee the management and operation of facilities in multiple locations, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and productive work environment
? Partner with building management to ensure office needs are articulated and responded to in a timely fashion.
? Oversee vendors performing building maintenance and communicate with senior leadership on facilities work
? Bachelor?s degree with MBA preferred
? 10 years or more experience in developing, managing and executing procurement strategies and operating plans
? Extensive Software and IT services procurement knowledge and experience
? Appropriate functional business experience in procurement, supply management, accounting or finance with a proven track record of strategic analysis, negotiation, team leadership.
? Role involves strong knowledge in a scope with high profile interfaces and the ability to network and operate in a high-level internal and external environment
? Previous cost-savings responsibilities and success saving millions of dollars for a commercial enterprise
? Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
? Ability to set priorities, plan work, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
