POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Product Analyst will ensure that Datacert?s products meet and exceed customer expectations. As part of the product development team, the Senior Product Analyst will drive the overall requirements elaboration process, ensuring that requirements are well defined and consumable by programmers and QA team members. In addition, this position will provide the team with project tracking support, subject matter expertise, and serve as the team?s primary liaison to other departments/teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Perform preliminary investigation and detailed analysis of product requirements as provided by Product Management
Work with Product Managers, Development Team Leads, internal and external customers to elaborate and validate business and functional requirements
Create concise requirements documentation, including mock ups of UIs
Define acceptance criteria with Product Manager and the development team
Act as a proxy customer on the development team
Work daily with the development team
Contribute to feature release documentation
Act as liaison and solution provider between Development, PM, and internal business personnel
Assist other team members (Project Managers, Developers, QA analysts, Documentation Specialists) throughout the full development cycle
Participate in Release Management tasks including, but not limited to, Quality Standard Reviews, Documentation Review, Product Release Training
Works with internal and external managers/leads to coordinate resources & schedules; clearly conveying individual and team responsibilities.
Provide visibility of project status to stakeholders and project team
Escalate project blocking issues and schedule delays to Program Manager
Oversees and manages analysis project milestones, ensuring process completion and project progress
Works with project?s cross functional teams to resolve issues and align efforts
In conjunction with Product Managers; acts as a subject matter expert to internal and external development a team
Works frequently with internal and external software development teams
Facilitates deliverable reviews at regular project intervals
Effectively applies Datacert?s project management processes, methodologies and enforces project standards
Minimizes project exposure and risk
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
Bachelor?s degree in related field is preferred
Project Management certification is desirable
Experience:
Minimum 5 of years of experience in technical product management/business analyst or equivalent senior technical role
Experience with an Agile methodology is desirable
Experience with developing web applications in a technical and business setting
Experience developing requirements for web based applications
