MatchCraft builds a software platform to manage Search Engine Marketing (SEM) advertising for small- and medium-sized businesses in over ten countries. We are looking for a Sr. Product Designer to join our group of talented developers. We are located in Santa Monica, California and offer a casual work environment.Job Role:
Given a general problem, the Sr. Product Designer will be asked to create a viable solution using a blend of tools and processes. These include but are not limited to: requirements analysis, persona development, web-based user interface design and a small amount of software project management. To accomplish these tasks, it may be necessary to interact with clients, primarily through phone and e-mail. Specifically, projects may require this person to:
Capture the needs, objectives and constraints of clients, suppliers
and internal stakeholders
Participate in the prioritization and selection of product development tasks
Interact with engineers to convey what needs to be built
and incorporate their feedback
Present new features to sales and account management
Requirements:
Maturity in software product development
Experience analyzing requirements, including interacting with clients
Proven track record for effective user interface design
Solid understanding of best practices for web-based information architecture
Experience working with software developers on the implementation of designs
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Visio or other design tools
Degree or certificate in computer science, human-computer interaction
or a related program is a plus
Strong visual design sensibility is a plus
Search Engine Marketing (SEM) experience is also a strong plus
