Job Description
Under minimal direction, the Senior Product Consultant provides highly technical and analytical research for the product planning process. Reporting to the VP of Global Product Management, this position is responsible for contributing the core business perspective and analysis for Peoplefluent?s strategy, product roadmaps and new product concepts through advanced business planning, predictive modeling and statistical techniques for management review and approval. Additional responsibility for developing advanced analysis and measurement tools for use in leading cross-functional collaboration between marketing, finance, engineering, customers, and other various key stakeholders. The selected candidate will synthesize gathered information and apply advanced theories to develop best-in-breed solution modeling and business cases for Peoplefluent?s next generation of products.
Responsibilities:
? Conduct high complexity financial, business, product and customer analysis under minimal direction. Set up and run advanced growth, loss and overall demand models.
? Review and formulate the business case and investment strategy behind individual items within the proposed Product Roadmaps.
? Use compiled data to develop cost/benefit analysis of expenses (engineering and others) by product line including overall gross margin analysis.
? Use compiled data including customer-driven data to suggest alternative priorities and business plans when applicable.
? Query data to conduct ad hoc analysis of metrics to answer advanced business questions.
? Perform the underlying analysis on assigned products to include market segmentation and vertical industry data cuts as required.
? Conduct competitive intelligence and understand market trends for each product line.
? Model pricing and pricing analysis by product line and validate with Sales, Marketing and Finance leaders within Peoplefluent.
? Provide recommendations on the appropriate tools and techniques to perform analysis including integrate usability studies into product requirements to make sure the products meet and exceed market demand.
? Manage business planning projects and provide, based on compiled analysis, alternative recommendations for growth based on proposed new features, packaging or pricing options.
? Monitor and interpret developments in the TM/HCM industry and the software space in general by identifying and quantifying competitive market opportunities based on emerging trends.
? Identify and quantify competitive market opportunities based on changes in competitors? business practices and offerings.
? Identify and quantify competitive risks relative to new entrants to markets.
? Understand and monitor legislative and regulatory trends (including global variations) to reflect impact on product offerings.
? Monitor business plan execution through recording achievement against forecast, managing fiscal results, and tracking leading indicators of resulting pipeline build.
Job Requirements
? MBA or Master's degree in marketing, finance, economics, or other business field.
? Relevant work experience, with software industry knowledge.
? Has worked on and can provide samples of past business analysis projects.
? Strong business acumen with experience in business planning, product planning and market segmentation / pricing analysis.
? Ability to work collaboratively across all work groups and departments within Peoplefluent to obtain all data necessary to reflect all viewpoints in product investment decisions.
? Have statistical analysis skills required to analyze, package and make recommendations as part of a detailed business planning process.
? Be experienced in methodologies used for long term business planning to model results effectively.
? Capable of coupling detailed analysis with concise recommendations and / or executive summaries of data.
? Is comfortable and familiar with technology, particularly software solutions as a service.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to transform complex data and concepts into visuals for executive review.
