Senior Product Manager - Analytics and User Experience Narus
The Product Manager will be responsible Analytics and User Experience components of the Narus solution. He /she will own the profitability, roadmap, functionality and overall success of the platform. This includes defining the strategy, understanding the competition, market needs, gathering customer feedback and incorporating the appropriate ecosystem components to deliver a solution that customers need and are willing to pay for. He / she will be responsible for developing detailed market and product requirements and managing timely delivery of product/software releases.
This position requires working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations and Professional Services teams, as well as with the other members of the Product Management and marketing team. The successful candidate will have a blend of business savvy and technical skills to set the direction for the product and effectively engage internally and with customers to develop and manage the product plans. He / she will be able to differentiate between technical capabilities and the value proposition of the product. He / she should be able to effectively communicate the appropriate message targeted to the different audiences.
This position might require both domestic and international travel of up to 25% of the time.
Responsibilities:
The person in this role will own the product life cycle for a Narus product line.
Lead the effort to define the product, build a long term vision, establish a roadmap and work on delivering the product to the market.
Effectively develop and communicate a vision of the product internally and externally.
Deliver clear, complete and concise market and product requirements. Effectively collaborate with engineering, QA and operations to institute a product delivery process and discipline necessary to deliver the highest level of quality.
Develop and manage execution plans to deliver a high quality product to market on time.
Develop go-to-market plans working with all departments to execute plans effectively.
Ability to convey the value of the product to technical and non-technical audiences
Build and execute upon go-to-market plans
Develop positioning, sales enablement, product launch and market intelligence programs to grow product revenue.
Develop pricing and packaging strategies for the product.
Requirements:
7+ years product management and / or product marketing experience
Understanding of big-data analytics, network analytics and security solutions
Experience with technologies including cloud based services preferred
Experience with business analytics and reporting solutions is essential
Experience with intuitive easy to use user interfaces and user experience
Expertise in business software delivery
Experience with cradle to grave product life cycle management
A market and customer view of the product is essential
Ability to differentiate between customer and market orientations is important
Demonstrated ability to lead a cross functional team is essential
Ability to present in front of a technical and non-technical audience
Experience working with customers around the globe is a plus
Methodical and detail oriented
Technical background preferred
Experience working and negotiating with partners and vendors
Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or marketing, or equivalent experience; an MS or MBA degree is preferred
