We seek a seasoned, high functioning superstar to be the Senior Product Manager, Analytics. The Senior Product Manager will work directly for the VP, Product and will lead Knewton?s Analytics product strategy and execution. You will own the product roadmap, define the requirements, manage new product and feature developments. Additionally, you will take a metric driven approach to driving key metrics for the platform. You will work closely with Knewton senior management, data science, technology, design, product and content teams, and directly with strategic partners to develop bleeding edge products. This is a lynchpin role and requires consideration for long-term product quality, customer and end user satisfaction, and calls for a highly detail oriented individual with serious entrepreneurial drive and extraordinary flexibility to meet the demands at a high-energy start-up.
The data Knewton collects to deliver student recommendations can also be utilized to deliver powerful insights?to students, instructors, administrators, parents, enterprise partners, and students. Knewton Analytics provides real time insights that reach far beyond typical reporting metrics, delivering deeper interpretation of how students are behaving and performing within a learning application, actionable steps for intervention, resulting in better student performance. The Senior Product Manager, Analytics is responsible for products and services that deliver these insights across all Knewton powered products. This person has built successful consumer facing and B2B applications, has imagined and developed new products from scratch, and is capable of managing multiple platform products at once. It is critical that this person be able to quickly gain understanding, and meaningfully work within complex technical constructs such as Knewton?s ontology, data model, and APIs. This person should have a track record of executing successful product launches, managing successful products and driving core product metrics.
Lead the productization efforts of the most powerful personalized learning data available on the planet.
Make complex and powerful data sets consumer friendly and easy to use.
Define and develop product strategy, roadmap, requirements, backlog and other supporting tools.
Plan, build, and continually improve the Knewton Analytics product?the metrics and the delivery of those metrics through various channels.
Measure, grow and improve key product performance indicators.
Increase product usage through product programs, features and functionality, ensuring that Knewton Analytics continues to produce extraordinary value for all it?s end users.
Timely and deep understanding of the landscape for web-based, scalable B2B and consumer products.
Experience building big data products.
7+ years product management experience with B2B and consumer products.
BS/BA or equivalent, MBA a plus.
CS background or prior experience as software developer a plus.
Comfortable operating in agile product development environments.
Exceptional analytical capability, ability to create and track key financial and business metrics, and ability to conduct cost/benefit analyses for new investments.
A passion for or appreciation of practical use of technology in education.
