Senior Product Manager Liaison Technologies

The Sr. Product Manager will work in collaboration with the Sales/Development/Professional Service teams to define, develop, package and promote Liaison?s enterprise cloud and software solutions and management consulting offerings.
As Liaison looks to continue its growth as the leader in integration and data management in the cloud, the Sr. Product Manager will work closely with key stakeholders on the solution strategy and development and implementation of the solutions -- collecting customer input; conducting market and competitive research; running customer/partner outreach programs; gathering and prioritizing requirements; vetting development and proposed technical approaches; analyzing risks; and defining and defending proposals.
The Sr. Product Manager should also understand and stay abreast of technology trends, requirements, and regulations in the Cloud/SaaS Integration, Data Management / Transformation and Data Security markets. Qualified candidates will be comfortable dealing with highly complex issues relating to scalability, data management and system integrations.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct market, product gap and SWOT analysis (market research, competitors, customers, partners?) for product and service offerings
Ability to be customer facing ? intelligently present Liaison?s strategy and product/service offerings ? while gathering key solution requirements
Research customer/market needs by participating in customer engagements (onsite/web meetings, calls?)
Define and develop the business case for specific feature requirements
Assist in the sales process with development of feature/benefit differentiators, presentations, demo?s, etc.
Work with the development, sales and service/support teams to ensure successful product releases (including positioning, pricing, messaging...)
Creating and/or modifying internal product management policies and procedures
Gather and prioritize feature requests, and research & document usage trends
Write use cases; functional specifications; and work with development on testing plans for specific feature requirements
Conduct (or assist with) usability testing, customer/partner user development conferences, and focus groups
Document workflow and results of business analysis and obtaining customer signoff (when necessary)
Provide a communications link between the customer, development team and any third party regarding technology functionality - throughout the development lifecycle

Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
5+ years' experience in software/services product management, business analysis, sales engineer, or similar role
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of Cloud/Hosted integration technologies and data models, including XML, Data Transformation, SOA
Knowledge of commercial software platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, etc.
Ability to convert technical benefit into ROI value
Ability to lead a technical proof of concept (POC)
Ability to understand technical solutions and communicate in business value
Ability to ask questions of a customer in order to determine technical fit, identify challenges, and opportunities resulting in effective positioning of the Liaison offering
Ability to overcome technical objections, while taking the customer?s problem and applying Liaison solutions
