Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for market requirements definition, packaging and pricing, defining product value proposition, and delivering product sales training for the Innography product family. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer needs, conduct business with uncompromising integrity, set and attain ambitious goals, coordinate activities across a highly-matrixed team, and execute to win.
Responsibilities:
At Innography, Product Management establishes and guides product plans through bi-directional interaction with development and sales and by providing customer-influenced, market-driven knowledge. As the internal expert on the customer, the primary responsibility of the Senior Product Manager is to assess user and business needs in order to identify and document market requirements. The right person must also be able to understand the functional architecture of the solutions so as to be credible when working with technologists. They must serve as a communication bridge between non-technical users, technical solution developers, finance, engineering, and sales.
--Research and communicate customer/market needs through relevant persona and story documentation including Market Opportunity Analysis, Revenue Analysis, Competitive Analysis, and Customer Analysis.
--Stay current on status and size of market, new opportunities, and trends, by attending events focused on relevant areas, reading appropriate publications, attending events run by the competition, and by speaking regularly with sales and professional services personnel, partners/channels, and existing customers and prospects.
--Work with the rest of Marketing to develop and execute analyst and public relations strategies and plans along with global marketing programs and campaigns including lead generation, collateral, and relationship marketing.
--Support strategically important thought leadership events, speaking engagements and sales activities.
--Contribute content for white papers, collateral, sales tools, presentations, websites, and trade show activities.
Qualifications:
--10+ years of experience in a technical industry with 4+ years of product management for business intelligence, legal support, information aggregation and/or data analysis applications with strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
--Demonstrated experience in driving the software lifecycle including product definition, pricing, positioning, competitive analysis, collateral and sales tool development, and product promotion.
--Proven track record of success in previous job functions with progressive responsibility and growth
--Technically skilled with an understanding of product capabilities and an ability to map capabilities to business needs.
--Experienced working with engineers in an agile/scrum development process
--Highly creative, strategic thinker able to quickly identify trends and needs, to propose changes, and to understand what impact these are likely to have.
--Ability to work in highly collaborative environment and to successfully manage and execute on multiple concurrent projects. Able to motivate people and groups not under their responsibility to get things done.
--Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
--Demonstrated judgment, analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
--Ability to manage highly professional interpersonal relationships with tact, diplomacy, negotiation skills.
--BA/BS is a must; Advanced degree is a plus.
This position requires some travel.
