Summary of Position:
The Senior Product Manager will lead the requirements team for our leading Information Governance solution. The Senior Product Manager must have a unique blend of technical, analytical, creative, communication and consensus-building skills. The ideal candidate is ambitious, outgoing, articulate, intelligent, and very well organized. Responsibilities include:
Working closely with StoredIQ management team in understanding the market dynamics, the associated product strategy and the epic user stories to align with the strategy.
Work closely with a multi-function team (user experience, designer, DBA, developer, architect) to provide the necessary information for them to be utilized efficiently and deliver the desired product.
Actively participate in team meetings and provide product direction.
Lead special projects on behalf of the team (and/or product) where a deep understanding of the business requirements and constraints must be applied in the process, analysis and ultimate recommendation.
Develop and deliver presentations and/or written documents to effectively communicate and provide the necessary context for the team including: Functional concepts; User flows; User stories; Acceptance criteria; and Non-functional requirements.
Actively keep up with industry standards, industry analysis and perspectives, competitive intelligence, corporate and product strategy.
Plan and manage beta programs with multiple customers prior to the rollout of a formal release.
Work closely with Product Marketing Managers to develop outbound collateral and sales training materials in preparation for a product launch.
Work closely with Sales Consulting to develop adequate demos to satisfy the recommended use cases for target audiences.
Providing weekly activity reports to the management team.
Required Experience:
3-5 years as a Business Analyst or Product Manager in the software industry, building and specifying mission critical business applications.
Experience in information governance or storage systems a plus.
Exceptional analytics skills with proficiency in reporting, analytics and data visualization.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.
You must be a self starter who works independently, but is still able to follow a structured approach to product management.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in an MIS, business technology or related field.
Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written); Strong interpersonal skills
