The Product Manager creates a meaningful product vision and maintains end-to-end oversight for a set of products critical to helping libraries successfully deliver against their mission of being central to the research process.
Some of the things that you will be doing:
Driver: Drive the launch of new features within the existing product framework
Meaningful Planner: Create and execute product plans that redefine the user experience, architecture and workflow for next generation ebrary platform
Deep Diver: Collaborate to define new functionality; taking into account time to market, customer requirements, market direction and competitive priorities
Mover & Shaker: Develops, leads and participates in presentations, both internally, at libraries and industry events
Product Owner: Advance business cases, drawing upon market research, data analysis and other resources to support and justify product decisions
Never Satisfied With Status Quo: Evaluate, disseminate, and integrate new opportunities, standards and technologies as they relate to the product or processes
What you will have experience with:
Bachelor?s degree or higher in related field, PLUS at least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated ability to capture product requirements, write use cases and work within a 4 going on 3 week agile cycle
Expert in user focused design and workflow, knows the difference between wants and needs, understands how to control scope and maintain momentum
Quickly understand complex features and gain consensus with both stakeholders and technical staff
Experience managing a web based content rich application
Background with ebooks, digital content or publishing
Transitioning web based experience to mobile apps
