We are looking for an experienced software product manager to join our team and drive the vision, definition, and delivery of our next-generation solar tool set.

What Will You Be Doing?
You will own a portfolio of one or more technology products for a given business function. As the Product Manager for these tools, you will be responsible for:
Vision, Strategy, and Planning (20%)
Developing the vision and strategy for your portfolio
Creating and maintaining a product roadmap
Coordinating with other Product Manager?s on dependencies and integrations
Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) for your products
Presenting product vision, strategy, and roadmap to executive team
Assisting Marketing and Sales with evangelizing Sunrun?s technology with its partners
Product Development (50%)
Maintaining a prioritized backlog of user stories and tasks
Participating in sprint and release planning
Developing acceptance criteria and, where necessary, detailed specifications
Working with design resources to produce interaction and visual designs
Managing the development of in-product help and tutorials
Driving UAT (user acceptance testing)
Product Life-cycle Management (30%)
Coordinating go-to-market activities including training and marketing communications
Monitoring and synthesizing user feedback and product metrics to determine product enhancements and backlog priority
Measuring and reporting against KPIs
Participating in bug triage and driving fixes for critical bugs, including supporting QA in bug reproduction and fix verification
Working directly with internal and partner users on technical problems, as needed
Who Are We Looking For?
We are open to a variety of educational and work history backgrounds, but here are the basic minimum qualifications:
Undergraduate degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field.
Why? In this role, you will be working closely with software engineers, and you need to be fluent in technology language and concepts.
Bonus points for graduate degree relevant to software product management, such as an MS in computer science or an MBA.
5 years of post-college work experience, with a strong preference for 2 years of work experience as a product manager.
Why? This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for candidates who have a strong foundation of work experience.
Bonus points for product management experience with web-based applications / SaaS.
Bonus points for experience in a technical role such as a software developer.
Bonus points for experience in solar.
In addition, we are looking for candidates with the following experiences and traits:
Experience with all phases of the software lifecycle, from conception through delivery through end of life.

Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills.
Why? A key part of your role will be documenting and communicating product vision, roadmap, and requirements. Everyone involved needs to be able to understand you.
Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team by influence.
Why? As a Product Manager, you need to lead resources even when they are not under your direct control.
