Trustwave, a leader in cloud-based compliance and information security solutions, announces an opening for a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Content Security to join Trustwave's Marketing Team in Chicago.
As Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the sales success of the content security products. It is your responsibility to be the expert of your market including competitive knowledge, market knowledge and segmentation, and how customers buy. You will craft the messaging and positioning for the content security products. You'll work with Corporate and Field Marketing teams to develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. You will create sales tools that allow sales of the products to enterprise and SME globally. In your role as a Senior Product Marketing Manager you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to sales. As the expert, you will be the best ?sales person? for content security. The Senior Product Marketing Manager reports to the Vice President of Product Marketing.
Responsibilities
Positioning and Messaging
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
Meet directly with customers, new prospects, analysts, partners, and sales staff to gain market insights and evangelize the company's products.
Sales Enablement
Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team, channel partners, and prospects
Develop the sales tools (e.g., brochures, cheat sheets, beat sheets, application notes, white papers, case studies, product demos, and customer presentations) that support the selling process of the company's products.
Product Launch
Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Market Intelligence
Be the expert on your buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to beat them. Give guidance to the competitive lab and transfer the competitive test results to sales information that allows us to win.
Demand Generation
Create web content using multiple media such as blogs, videos, pictures to help convey the message
Work with other marketing teams to develop the strategy and content of the marketing programs that drive demand for the company's products.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in product marketing, evangelizing enterprise-class security solutions.
Working knowledge of technology components of information security (e.g., security information and event systems; vulnerability, Web, and application scanners; data loss prevention systems)
Worked in a high growth environment
Excellent communications skills, to both internal and external stakeholders, both oral and written, highly skilled in multiple forms of web content
Possess a blend of business, marketing and sales acumen;
Highly organized, self-directed business style, with strong ability to prioritize
Must work well in a team, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third-parties
Highly self-motivated and driven to succeed
Team player with strong sense of urgency
Flexible and willing to do 'what it takes' to help the company getting the job done
High energy and enthusiasm-eager to engage with customers and evangelize the company's offering
Travel required (25%).
Education:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus.
General skills
Self-starter with ability to prioritize many projects and problems independently, as they arise
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills a must
Web content development of multiple forms is required
Occasional overnight travel to other Trustwave offices, domestic and international, may be required
