Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Senior Product Marketing Manager will lead product marketing strategies and tactics for existing and new products. The focus is not solely on positioning product features, rather developing customer facing solutions and messages that speak to the problems the market is facing. As our customers fall in love with our tools, we gather client feedback so that we can further develop products to meet their needs.
Product launches require coordination with virtually every part of the organization and product marketing plays a lead role. More specifically, the senior product manager will:
Based on market insight (from existing customers, potential customers and market research), quantitatively and qualitatively analyze the market and work with product and engineering teams to integrate customer needs into product and company strategy
Develop and drive product launch initiatives (including beta launches, product pricing, positioning, launch schedule and documentation)
Collaborate with sales in providing product documentation, competitor intelligence, positioning strategies and training
Play a strategic role in new products decisions, product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
Manage a small but growing product marketing team

Background and experience
Was at one time a Java developer (3+ years at the beginning of your career and then you made the transition to the business side).
Bachelor?s degree required. (An MBA or equivalent business experience is highly desirable.)
3+ years of product marketing experience in B2B software, Java production environment products a big plus.
Proven track record of success in high profile, market-leading companies in rapidly changing and highly competitive industries.
Writing ? advanced technical writing experience and experience translating technical specifications into consumer-facing information
Crafting product messaging and bringing products to market
Sales enablement ? develop sales materials to train sales and support the sales process
Presenting ?presenting to all levels of an organization is natural for you ? you?re good at it, you like it, and your audience likes you!
Market validation experience ? ability to develop a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors to apply against marketing efforts, product feature development, and measurement of customer satisfaction. Have put together and executed on market research. Initiates conversations with customers. Ability to analyze lots of input and data points.
Meticulously think through every aspect of the user experience, putting user?s needs and expectations first as you develop clear, effective product messaging and collateral.
You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive and leadership to make that vision a reality.
