Senior Product Marketing Manager Metaswitch Networks
Metaswitch is looking for a key member of the Metaswitch Business Services Product team responsible for driving key product activities and initiatives to support the overall company business plan. This role will be reporting to the VP for the Business Services Product Area.
This role is highly visible, varied and cross-functional. The ideal candidate will be able to lead externally facing product marketing activities as well as detailed product management requirements. The exact balance between internal and external activities will depend on the candidate?s capabilities and desires.
Working closely with other members of the product management and product marketing teams as well as other key Metaswitch groups, the successful candidate will lead efforts in the areas of market and competitive analysis, business case development, product feature priorities (product roadmap), go to market strategy and customer engagement.
This role will be based in the San Francisco office located at the intersection of the Mission, Potrero and SOMA.
Evangelize our product offering and provide detailed technical briefings through sales engagements, lead generation and multi-media collateral creation
Advocate our position as the market leading Cloud PBX offering for service providers
Help our customers to be successful at delivering our product to market, to drive our own success in turn. Be one of the primary voices of the customer within the company, reporting back on the wants, needs and desires of the market to influence and inform future product strategy.
Lead market and competitive analysis activities in both current markets and adjacent vertical markets leveraging both analyst information and internal intelligence to be used as a basis for all product and strategy decision-making.
Own business case development to be used as a basis for strategic decision making around the overall product strategy including justification for new product features.
Working closely with the relevant development teams, drive product management decisions and processes
Collaborate with Executive Management, Marketing, and Sales to develop the overall product strategy
Passionate, driven person who can be an engaging evangelist for our product
Excellent presenter, capable of captivating an audience with deeply technical content
Ability to write articulately with deep analysis and attention to detail
Proven and successful track record in the areas of strategy & product definition, product management and customer engagement
A minimum of 3 years? experience in either a product, marketing, systems architect or sales engineering role
You must have at least one of the following:
Knowledge of PBX and UC offerings such as Microsoft Lync / Office 365, Cisco Call Manager, Broadsoft
Knowledge of cloud based ?OTT? enterprise voice offerings such as RingCentral, 8x8, Phonebooth
Knowledge of delivering cloud based enterprise voice offerings from a traditional service provider
Strong technical understanding of technologies including IP, SIP, VoIP, Virtualization techniques, Android/iOS apps (including SDKs), Cloud infrastructure such as Amazon EC2, Web APIs such as JSON
Minimum BSc in Engineering or equivalent.
The position will be based in our office in San Francisco, CA but will require a moderate level of international and domestic travel.
Experience of API evangelism
The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate success at simultaneously engaging with externally facing product marketing activities and detail-oriented internally-facing product management duties
MBA a plus
Knowledge of best practices for good User Interaction / User Experience design
Experience of ACD / Call Center / Contact Center
Experience with big data, metrics and analytics
Knowledge of other CRM and collaboration tools, such as Salesforce, WebEx, Yammer
Knowledge of the challenges of delivering excellent quality voice over unreliable networks
