Are you a storyteller? Could you explain why the iPad is different than the Kindle Fire without sounding like a member of the Geek Squad? Can you jump straight from that deep market analysis over to that slick new product demo video you need to get up on YouTube, and then onto a call with a reporter to pitch them on the new company partnership?
If so, you just may be a product marketer. And Responsys just may want to hire you to help change the face of digital marketing.
Who is Responsys?
Responsys was built with the mission to change the way that the world does marketing in the digital age. We?re a cloud software company that?s helping companies take advantage of technologies like email, mobile, social, and web display to build lasting relationships with consumers.
It?s New School marketing that the best brands in the world are embracing head-on. Because in a time when too many companies are just turning up the volume on mass media and driving customers to tune out, the only path to success is with marketing that speaks to people as individuals ? with only the messages that they want to hear, delivered at exactly the right time, and across all of the channels and devices that consumers are using.
It?s not only a better model for consumers; it?s a better model for businesses. That?s way New School marketers like Southwest Airlines, Williams Sonoma, Under Armor, Intuit, LinkedIn, Scottrade, Burton and Skullcandy are driving more revenue and building stronger customer relationships than ever before possible with the Responsys Interact platform.
After a successful IPO in 2011, we?ve got our eye on becoming the first billion-dollar cloud marketing company. Our customers think we?re changing the game. The analysts agree. And our employees love the journey we?re on. We need rock stars who want to make the dream a reality.
The Role:
In the tradition of Larry Ellison and Marc Benioff, Product marketing sits at core of Responsys?s strategy and success. We?re looking for marketing ninjas get in on the ground floor of a growing product marketing team that is responsible for strategic initiatives including:
Defining killer, differentiated corporate positioning to further extend Responsys?s leadership in the market
Driving the positioning and go-to-market strategy for the company?s emerging product lines, including Interact for Mobile, Interact for Display, and Interact for Social
Creating beautiful and compelling assets designed to communicate our story to the world either on the web or in person.
Working with the PR, AR, and corporate marketing teams to educate the market on the shift to New School Marketing and ultimately to drive demand to Responsys
Enabling the Responsys sales army with tools and training designed to convey our differentiation, challenge our prospects, and destroy the competition
The Skills:
Product marketing at Responsys is a broad and strategic role. As such, we?re not looking for ?position players,? we need well rounded ?athletes? who are a little bit...
Steve Jobs: Can you take complex ideas and communicate them in a simple, elegant way? Both in words and visuals? Can you create reality distortion fields that drive the market and the company to follow your lead?
Billy Beane: Can you work with the data you have to make the right strategic decisions?
PT Barnum: Can you put together a compelling pitch that makes people want to buy? Can you create disruptive marketing ideas that will get a small company noticed?
Sun Tzu: Can you look at the market and make the right competitive moves? Can you arm and motivate a sales organization to take down more deals?
More specifically, we?re looking for people with 5-10 years of total work experience and 3-5 years experience in product marketing, corporate marketing, product strategy, business development, or management consulting. Previous experience working for B2B SaaS companies is a huge plus. We love people with great undergraduate degrees. MBA?s are fantastic as well, but not required.
