POSITION
Senior Consultants in the Professional Services practice work on client engagements to train and mentor clients to adopt and use iRise application simulation software and, occasionally, assist such clients in using iRise application simulation software to gather, analyze, and validate requirements for custom Web application development or SAP implementation projects. Senior Consultants may play one or more roles on such engagements ? including consultant, coach, mentor, senior analyst and team lead. Although Senior Consultants spend most of their time on client engagements, they also work on people development, business development, and practice development initiatives within the Professional Services practice.
Candidates with more extensive experience in the areas described below may be considered for a Manager role. In addition to training and mentoring, a Manager's engagements may entail adoption planning, project management, and/or program management.
Candidates must be willing to travel roughly 70% of the time to customer locations in the US and abroad.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze: gather, analyze, document and validate business, functional, and technical requirements for custom business applications; help define analysis processes, standards, and tools; ensure requirements are complete and accurate and fit with overall application, business function, business, and standards for self and others; identify components that need additional analysis; determine impact of new or changing requirements.
Design: design models and simulations based on requirements; help define design processes, standards, and tools; ensure designs are complete and accurate and fit with overall standards and practices for self and others; identify components that need additional design; determine impact of new or changing designs.
Plan: provide detailed and accurate estimates for specific modules and components; define dependencies between modules and components; assist with project plan.
Manage: assist with resource allocation, scope control, issue resolution, risk mitigation, and status reporting.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Methodologies: Rational Unified Process, Extreme Programming, Agile Development
Requirement Tools: Rational RequisitePro, Caliber RM, Telelogic Doors, MS Word, Excel
Design Tools: Dreamweaver, FrontPage, MS PowerPoint, Visio
Languages: HTML, JavaScript, CSS
Other: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), MS Project
EXPERIENCE
5+ years progressive and current work experience as consultant in custom Web application development or SAP implementation projects, or 7+ years progressive and current work experience as contractor or employee in information technology or software engineering
5+ years current work experience as business analyst or user experience designer on custom Web application development and/or SAP implementation projects
Prior experience with iRise a strong plus
Project and/or program management experience a plus
Experience with full lifecycle SAP implementations preferred
Mobile application experience a plus
Big 5 Consulting experience a plus
EDUCATION
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other technical degree
TRAVEL
Should be willing to do up to 70% travel.
