The Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading a team of program management professionals and ensuring the team successfully delivers client and company projects on-time and on budget according to the defined scope, timeline, and cost. The activities include supporting and driving cross-functional teams to establish an integrated schedule and drive resolution of cross-functional issues. The Senior Program Manager collaborates with Operations, IT, Assessment Development, Hand Scoring, Research and Development, Publishing, Marketing, Sales and external partners as required. This position reports to the VP of Program Management.
Provide high customer service to client
Ensure deadlines are being met by project team and client
Manage multiple project timelines according to scope
Communicate continually with internal team members and external client contacts about program status
Lead a project management team, providing ongoing support throughout projects
Ensure appropriate reporting of information to internal teams and external client resources
Tracking designated metrics for the program management team
Forecast project risks and communicate those to key company resources
Coordinate cross-departmental schedules across multiple projects and anticipate technical roadblocks and challenges
Flag and monitor critical path activities related to assigned programs
Communicate regularly with all levels of the organization
BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline
Minimum 5 years? experience in a program manager role
Previous experience with personnel management
Strong knowledge of Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Flexible and creative problem-solving skills
Extremely strong interpersonal skills
Personnel management skills, including previous direct reports
Proven ability to manage time across multiple, simultaneous projects
Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and management
Demonstrated leadership, communication and team building skills.
Proven ability to manage complex projects with cross functional teams
Ability to work with team members in different locations
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
