SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER - ENGINEERING PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT LedEngin

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will report to the CTO
Work closely with functional managers in the organization to create product development and release plans for new products as well as advanced technology projects
Work closely with outside customers and Marketing organizations to identify/track customer requirements and communicate status
Represent the projects on multi-disciplinary projects as a core team member
Lead project team meetings to track progress and identify risks and resource conflicts and report status of these projects
Manage requirements and planning in support of product and technology planning processes
Manage projects using the companies development processes and contribute to the refinement of those processes for future projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in product development process and design flows for advanced LED Emitter products
Experience in working with various functional organizations involved in LED Emitter product development such as optical design, substrate design, firmware, layout, product and test engineering for validation, product characterization and qualification activities. Experience in working with other functions such as operations, sales, marketing, and quality, board suppliers and LED die foundries is also beneficial
The position requires excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to accomplish the project goals by inspiring team members to excel without direct management influence by instilling a desire to introduce world class, market-changing products
BS/MS Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related fields such as Microelectronic Engineering
10+ years of project management experience preferably for product development in technology R&D environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in delivering LED products to market - complete with all collateral
Experience with LED Manufacturers and their suppliers.
