Position Summary:
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for coordinating the cross-functional project team activities associated with Lutonixs key program initiatives. This position will work with project teams to formulate project scopes and objectives, strategies, critical paths, resource requirements, budgets and timelines. The Senior Program Manager will work directly with the development team and cross functional project teams to ensure alignment in the overall development/project plans. Using program management tools, the Senior Program Manager identifies and tracks project activities and resources, progress toward goals and coordinates problem solving within the project teams. The position is also responsible for communicating program status updates and issues on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate a matrix of cross functional projects and project teams for each program including the master project plan for the programs.
Facilitate problem solving and decision making within the project teams and, using good judgment, insure that decisions of strategic importance are triaged to the appropriate senior management individuals and/or the Executive Committee.
Provide written and oral communication of project status, goals and milestones to senior management. Including, but not limited to, monthly business unit project updates and senior management reviews.
Establish and manage project budgets and resources including updates and plans.
Coordinate the activities of the development program so that all the commercial, clinical, development and regulatory needs are united into one overall plan.
Responsible for tracking overall Program budgets and resources and communicates with each functional leader regarding any potential changes in the Program that could impact the various functional resources and/or budgets
Knit all the individual project pieces together such that gaps and inconsistencies can be identified and addressed proactively.
Seek and identify new ideas and opportunities for acceleration.
The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring all Design Control aspects of product development programs are met, including establishing and updating the Design History File, compliance with all QSR and ISO regulations and obtaining appropriate management review and guidance of the program.
Coordinates with Marketing and Quality Assurance to ensure premarket and post market design inputs are incorporated into project objectives.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in technical or life sciences, or engineering
Experience: Minimum of 8 years within product development (device or pharma) including 3-5 years of project management experience in managing complex, multi-discipline teams and programs
Preferred Qualifications: (Optional)
Significant experience in research or development in the health care industry.
Demonstrated leadership skills required to manage matrix development teams.
Ability to synthesize and problem-solve.
Ability to drive and create consistent forward momentum across projects while maintaining a positive, supportive cross-functional team environment.
Strong communication skills to insure that all major stakeholder and senior management are fully informed and engaged in key decisions.
