Who We Want:
Bazaarvoice Product Operations is seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager, Retail Products who will be responsible for the coordinated execution of product development and releases for the Retail products team.
Key Responsibilities:
Own Bazaarvoice retail product releases and release process -- work across Product Management, Product Marketing, and Engineering to coordinate and execute product releases in accordance with product lifecycle processes
Manage complex dependencies across multiple, parallel product development teams, and identify areas of delivery risk, and remove obstacles to on-time, high-quality product delivery
Establish regular interactions with internal stakeholder teams (Account Management, Sales, Implementation, Support, Finance, Legal, etc) to ensure that these stakeholder needs are accounted for and incorporated into product release plans
Develop, maintain, and execute communications plans for the Retail product line
Execute post-release support / transition processes to ensure that product launches are successful and that products are set up to achieve adoption goals
Provide consistent visibility to product delivery health in the form of regular status updates up, down, and across the organization
Provide consistent monitoring and visibility to product health to key product financial and functional performance metrics in the form of product scorecards
Collaborate with peer Program Managers to ensure that product lifecycle processes are being followed, and that product initiatives move quickly through lifecycle stages while meeting defined exit criteria and stakeholder acceptance
Participate in other strategic initiatives and process improvements in partnership with the Director of Product Operations, and the Director of Product Management, Retail
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
Minimum of 5-7 years? experience in program management, in a product software or technology consulting environment
Demonstrated ability to lead by influence, and work effectively in a cross-functional,
matrixed management environment
Experience working in an Agile delivery organization and familiarity with Agile
principles/practices
Experience working in a SaaS product environment is desired
Experience with configuring and using MS Sharepoint and Atlassian JIRA, or similar
collaboration and work/workflow management tools
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills, active listening, writing skills.
Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with technical team members
Ability to drive clarity of purpose and goals for product development and release planning
Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with
high level of attention to detail
Ability to work under tight deadlines while coordinating several projects at a time and
responding to changing business and technical conditions
Courageous and assertive, shows determination to remove impediments to success, at all levels of the organization
