Senior Program Manager Azul Systems

Responsibilities
As a Program Manager at Azul, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary software projects using your technical and business expertise. You gather requirements, formulate the scope of the project and success criteria, and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing product and project schedules, identifying risks and dependencies and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders, leading the creation of project plans, developing and tracking release milestones and schedules for the many moving parts that need to come together, and driving all scheduling, budgetary and quality related requirements to closure. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. You will be central to the operations of the cross-functional team - on a daily basis you will be responsible for working with and coordinating software engineering teams (development, quality, customer support), marketing, documentation, sales and field consultants to orchestrate and lead the team through major and minor software release cycles. You will participate in setting strategy and goals, translating the goals into day-to-day activities and focuses for the team, as well as drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
Requirements:
BS/MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent discipline and/or experience
5 years of experience as a Technical Program or Project Manager working with enterprise software
Strong software engineering background and technical aptitude with a passion for delivering high-performance, quality enterprise software
Proficiency with software development and project/ program management methodologies (software development life cycles and quality processes, scope, cost, schedule, deliverables, milestones, success criteria, change management, risk management)
Track record of leading and coordinating cross-functional teams' efforts resulting in successful product releases
Superior oral and written communication skills, excellent time management skills along with multi-tasking capabilities able to manage multiple priorities, demands, and timelines
Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, influencing, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation
Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior leadership, technical and non-technical team members alike
