About the Job

Nexant is currently seeking a Trade Ally Outreach Manager (Sr. Program Representative II) to lead our outreach efforts in our Chandler, Arizona office. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all outreach efforts to achieve participation in our utility sponsored energy efficiency programs in the Chandler, Arizona office. Interested candidates should have strong connections in the Phoenix, Arizona area, have knowledge/ability to identify opportunities, project management, client relations, and build automation systems background/experience with a strong emphasis on consultative sales. This position requires frequent day trips and some overnight stays can be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the regional organization?s technical outreach strategy to promote energy efficiency through the management of formal trade alliance networks. Activities include but not limited to:
Develop annual operational plans and budget and track goals and budgets, with assistance from program manager
Develop strategies that will increase the market penetration of high efficiency technologies in the market
Create protocols that help trade allies and customers adhere to utility energy efficiency program requirements
Develop tools and training resources for trade-allies to encourage the sales of energy efficient equipment
Support the trade allies with technical inquiries on high efficiency lighting and mechanical equipment technologies
Be responsible for internal and external client satisfaction metrics that include, but are not limited to:
Effectively communicate with utilities and program managers regarding program progress, bottlenecks, workarounds, and general market direction
Maintain a high level of satisfaction with internal and external customers, proactively identify and resolve customer concerns
Provide continuous improvement strategies to further client initiatives
Lead and mentor a team of outreach coordinators who are engaged in training and conducting educational outreach efforts with trade allies who sell, design, install and market energy efficient technologies.
As necessary, hire qualified staff to fill open positions within the team
Provide job-required training to new and existing coordinators
Provide continuous feedback to staff regarding expectation and performance
Address and resolve all performance issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with national and regional staff to foster professional development of direct reports
Prepare and conduct annual performance reviews
Collaborate with local program management, engineering, marketing, and outreach functional teams to deploy Trade Ally Network strategy.
Other duties as required
BS/BA degree is required, MBA or other post graduate degree preferred
3+ years proven experience in working in the sales, account management, marketing project management and/or with utilities
Technical knowledge in lighting, mechanical, utility systems, energy efficiency programs, and/or building system fields
Proven experience leading and managing teams towards achieving a common goal
Superior organization, communications and interpersonal skills required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills with ability to manage multiple time-dependent tasks
Skills and aptitude with financial analysis, profits and loss statement and market forecasting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and the ability to learn and operate company proprietary computer software is required
Excellent time management skills
