About the Job
Nexant is seeking a Senior Project Analyst in our Cary, NC office. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical and analytical support and leadership for Nexant?s Planning & Evaluation Group inside the Demand Management business unit. Specific responsibilities will include: research and data analysis supporting demand side management program planning, energy analyses and benchmarking, report writing, and other related tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Mid- level analyst support including data collection, project research, energy analytics, etc.
Work independently and in teams to conduct tasks related to research projects and participate in research efforts.
Develop and maintain multiple databases using Microsoft Access and Excel-based Visual Basic.
Develop survey instruments and research design.
Conduct primary and secondary data collection efforts as well as data analysis.
Contribute to draft reports, including results and actionable recommendations.
Bachelor?s degree in engineering or research related field of study (computer software/programming, economics, engineering, statistical analysis, evaluation research, social science research, scientific research, hypothesis testing research, physics etc.).
Work experience should range from 4-6 years.
Master degrees in similar fields as above may reduce years of experience requirement by 2-3 years.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience programming in Microsoft Access and Excel-based Visual Basic a plus
Experience preparing draft reports detailing analytical findings.
Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills are mandatory
