About the Job
Nexant is currently seeking a Senior Project Finance Analyst in our Washington D.C. office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in task teams on capacity building and transaction advisory assignments to formulate enhancement mechanisms to the enabling environment for the mobilization of private sector investors and creditors, provide critical support to develop renewable energy procurement mechanisms and negotiate associated commercial agreements for clients in electricity emerging markets.
Assist in the design and implementation of financial and policy tools to support the development of renewable energy projects in designated countries in emerging markets.
Provide regulatory, legal and financial input related to project structuring and development and other issues across the energy sector.
Provide business and strategic advice on transactions involving the structuring of limited and non-recourse financing of renewable energy development projects.
Assist in drafting regulatory and legislative proposals.
Assist in drafting and negotiating commercial and financing agreements related to the client's specific needs.
Requires a master?s degree in finance, business administration, law, or related field.
Must also possess coursework or experience background with decision formulation for the public sector with a governmental agency in an emerging market on policy and regulatory reforms; capacity building mechanisms; energy policy in emerging markets; financial law and banking; financing energy projects in emerging markets; and developing country environments.
