Axiom is seeking a Senior Project Management Consultant for our Managed Services business.
Managed Services (MS) is the division within Axiom that is responsible for designing & delivering complex team solutions where Axiom is responsible for end-to-end service delivery. The two principle areas of Axiom?s Managed Services practices are Managed Contracts Services (MCS), where Axiom is the industry leader in designing and delivering end-to-end outsourced solutions for all or part of the contracts function in F500 companies ? and Managed Discovery Services (MDS), where Axiom unbundles the management & review of discovery from the law the firm pursuant to litigation and regulatory matters.
We anticipate supporting both these service lines ? in addition to others to be launched ? out of our Managed Services Delivery center network, which currently comprises Chicago, Houston, Belfast and Gurgaon.
The Senior Project Management Consultant will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of complex legal services. This is a challenging role that requires someone who is relentless in their pursuit of process efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement. The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining a keen focus on risk mitigation, timely issue escalation/resolution, and consistent attention to detail. It is also necessary that the Senior Project Management Consultant have significant, previous client-facing experience at the senior executive level, with an ability to be clearly and persuasively communicate project needs and priorities.
The Senior Project Management Consultant will serve a PMO function, which includes: improving and standardizing project management policies, processes and methods; tracking metrics related to the project management and implementation; defining resource demands; and accountability for end to end project management standards and methodologies.
The candidate will also have an active role in designing sustainably scalable processes and methodologies for certain projects within the Managed Services business.
Requirements:
? 8+ years of experience as a consultant or project manager.
? ?Big Firm? consulting experience.
? Proven history of delivering projects within budget and deadlines.
? Facility with MS Project and Excel.
? Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
? Ability to improve and standardize existing project management policies, processes and methods, and take active role in designing sustainably scalable processes.
This is a consulting engagement with the possibility of conversion to permanent employment. The position may be based in Chicago, Houston, or New York with potential heavy travel.
