Opportunity: Senior Project Manager - Government Program
GetWellNetwork, a fast-growing interactive patient-care solutions company based in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Government Program. The role will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of projects and/or programs, with respect to the delivery of quality project management services, the growth and development of assigned PM reports and the support of business development activities. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the appropriate resourcing, performance management, training and fiscal oversight for their assigned projects and the growth and development of assigned PM reports. The Senior Project Manager will ensure that the portfolio of projects is delivered on schedule within budget and with a fully engaged and satisfied client - clinical and technical.
Ability to travel up to 75% is required. Must be able to obtain a US Government security clearance. Must be able to complete individual medical facility requirements for access to work with teams on-site (vaccinations and health screening tests).
Duties & Responsibilities
Includes duties including but not limited to those listed below:
Project Guidelines and Communication:
Ensure development of clear and measurable project management plan(s).
Global management of projects/programs, including deliverables from all functional areas and vendors in accordance with contractual timelines, specifications, quality and good financial practices.
Ensure timely definition of timelines, milestones and limitations for all assigned projects.
Ensure establishment of project metrics and project report schedules. Provide at regular project updates to VP of Implementation Services and Executive Leadership Team.
Collaborate with the assigned project management teams to establish and continue ongoing positive internal and external relationships. Attend teleconferences and meetings to provide support to the project management teams. Lead Governance Committees and other oversight activities, as applicable.
Project Analysis and Management:
Monitor assessment of critical project success factors for tracking, analysis and reporting including probability and impact of potential project risks.
Provide guidance to assigned PMs regarding compliance with budget projections, deliverables and change order identification and processing.
Monitor project status, budget expenditures, and identifies problems and recommends solutions.
Ensure all contract and budget negotiation processes are completed in accordance with project timelines and cost parameters for assigned projects managed by the assigned PMs.
Ensure proper review and approval of project elements and financial records (invoicing/units/expenses) in conjunction with appropriate project team members and assigned PMs.
Monitor progress of assigned portfolio towards divisional and company goals; Develop and monitor short/mid/long term goals and monitor all costs associated with assigned area; monitor company-wide indicators; monitor industry trends and external environment in areas relevant to the assigned portfolio area.
Perform these responsibilities in a quality system environment.
Establish and communicate individual and team performance to assigned project teams and assigned PM reports.
Responsible for the appropriate resourcing, project execution, training and fiscal oversight for their assigned projects and/or program. Provide guidance and oversight to the PMs assigned to their projects/program in order to ensure adherence to project scope, SOPs, timelines, and budget requirements.
In collaboration with the VP Implementation Services, identify training needs and create role-based training plans for the project management department in order to ensure consistency and quality service delivery across the organization. Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring and support PMs with proactive project issue resolution. Provide line management support to assigned PMs.
Assist in the development of new client strategies and relationships in securing new business and with maintaining existing relationships. This includes but is not limited to supporting the creation of request for proposals (RFPs)/budgets, participation at conferences/tradeshows and participation in business development planning and strategy meetings.
Act as Operational Owner for new proposals, ensuring timely and effective input to client proposals including resource, budget, timelines and operational guidance to the proposal group for delivery of high quality client proposals.
Represent Project Management at professional, marketing and new business meetings.

Knowledge of field organizational strategies: The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. Successful decentralized team management and situational responsive decision-making.
Develop and manage new and existing assigned PMs (mentoring, listening and evaluation skills): Develop and support others to grow within a positive learning environment. Manage performance according to job specific requirements, project deliverables and overall performance within the scope of their assigned job ion.
Strong communication and presentation skills: Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain positive project team member and internal/external relationships. Ability to conduct effective presentations.
Computer skills: Proficient in the use of computer systems, personal computers, and software such as MS Office suite and MS Project and business process modeling or equivalent. Able to generate business correspondence, create forms and generate reports as required.
Practice professionalism and integrity in all actions: Demonstrated ability to foster concepts of teamwork, cooperation, self- control, and flexibility to get the work done.
Bachelor?s degree required; Advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.
7+ years of project management experience involving a portfolio of government related projects relative to software, hardware, telecom, and network components (healthcare related experience preferred). Project management experience should demonstrate competency in business development, project analysis, project guidelines, communication, and management as well as experience collaborating with engineering/technical individuals, business development managers, financial analysts, contractors, and clients.
Experience should demonstrate attributes of full spectrum leadership: deliver results, energize the team, shape the future, build effective relationships and model personal excellence, integrity and accountability, strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, and the desire to mentor others.
