A leading web-based professional education provider is seeking a motivated technical Senior Project Manager to join their Product Management Team. You will be responsible for managing and executing multiple projects while building lasting relationships with internal staff and clients.
The essential responsibilities and duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for managing/supporting software/product development projects and releases spanning multiple divisions and business lines in order to streamline and analyze business processes and design solutions for improvements.
Collaborate closely with various internal project stakeholders including Project Managers, Technical Leads, & Design teams amongst others to establish work plans and staffing for each phase of the projects.
Participate in aspects of the business that requires any of the following: review proposals, create business requirements, document technical approach, define workflow process, and create user documentation and templates as needed.
Create and maintain quality documentation for existing applications for both technical and non-technical personnel.
Provide support, and guidance to multiple divisions, as well as review documentation created by team members to ensure clarity and approach.
Provide support and training to sales, customer service, and others.
Be involved in initiating new business processes for improvement in current processes.
Successfully manage and execute multiple small to large-scale complex projects.
Be instrumental in the entire developmental life cycle.
Evaluate business requests and develop detailed requirements (BRD, SRS, FSD, etc) by interacting in user interviews, reviewing of existing software/hardware solutions, and obtaining business rules or workflows.
Work closely with Programming and Quality Assurance teams on all projects
Skills & Experience
Skills & experience should include, but not be limited to, the following:
Strong analytical skills with ability to start at a high level working down to the detail
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Self-starter, while respecting other team members and peers.
At least 5-7 years of experience in requirements analysis in development, consulting, or product/project management
Strong understanding of software/product development life cycle methodologies
Ability to effectively plan and prioritize long and short term goals
Bachelor?s degree, PMP or similar
5+ years of experience in project management
Knowledgeable in web based applications and terminologies
Ability to translate business needs into functional specs to ensure that the platform is delivered as intended
Able to define/map complex systems and provide clear functional solutions
Experience with various agile development tools and methodologies
Develop, review and monitor status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepare timely status reports and communicate progress.
Conduct interactive sessions for trainings and product demonstrations.

Content Authoring platforms
Content management systems
Learning and Information Portals
E-learning standards and specifications (SCORM, AICC, common cartridge..)
Assessment frameworks and standards (QTI)
Fair understanding of cross functional expertise (Instructional designers, Information architects, content writers, visual designers, SME?s, developers)
Collaborative tools and technologies (discussion forum, chat, blog, wiki etc)
Open source offerings in the education domain
