Senior Project Manager XS
XS, Inc., a leading technology and services provider to the agriculture industry, is seeking hard working motivated individuals to join our team. We are looking for experienced Senior Project Managers to provide the leadership for functional and technical analysis, development, and implementation of enterprise applications. We seek positive, assertive team players who have a strong desire to succeed in a team- and customer-oriented environment. XS, Inc. Project Managers are responsible for all phases of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and should be skilled in creating project plans, establishing and managing deadlines, establishing and managing project scope and quality assurance, and planning for and mitigating project risk. In addition to project management responsibilities, Project Managers own key relationships with XS, Inc?s customers. Experience with AGILE development is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Apply significant management and leadership experience to ensure successful delivery of multi-focus proficiencies
Lead project risk assessments and define deliverable acceptance criteria; balance project needs and demands with operational capabilities of the organization
Utilize formal project management techniques to lead projects using SCRUM methodology.
Direct the project team through the full SDLC of each project, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and close-down.
Manage direct reports.
Identify resource requirements and coordinate the assignment and scheduling of tasks among labor categories.
Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor and control task progress.
Monitor actual project hours and costs against the project/program estimates and budget.
Communicate effectively with project team members, management, clients and project stakeholders on status, issues, risks, and project goals and objectives.
Report status to project stakeholders through multiple formal communication methods (e.g, monthly status reports, bi-weekly snapshot reports, project plan updates) and informal methods (e.g, ad-hoc requests and email).
Ensure that project deliverable dates are met: create and review project deliverable, submit deliverable to the client, and acknowledge work of project team members through formal communication methods.
Manage team, report status, track issues and risk and escalate when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree required, PMP, MS or MBA is a plus.
3+ years experience in software/application development project management and business analysis.
A minimum of three years experience providing verbal and written communications to a client audience including: leading presentations and conference calls, composing project status reports and delivering briefings, and developing project documentation (e.g., functional and system requirements, traceability matrix, project schedules).
Experience in systems engineering, including experience in design, development, and implementation of technology projects using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience in developing and tracking a project schedule using Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling tool
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Executive presence and high energy level.
