Senior Proposal Specialist, Astadia - Jacksonville, FL
JOB SUMMARY: As a Senior Proposal Specialist, you will be developing high level proposals and presentations that will drive global sales efforts for all Astadia Practice Lines. This will entail effectively communicating - in written form - the management policies, strategic directions, and capabilities of Astadia to prospective customers. In this role, you will be required to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment as you manage and complete multiple projects under strict deadlines. This position is based in the corporate offices and targets multi-million dollar domestic and international sales efforts across all Astadia Practices. This position involves project management, attention to detail, and regular communication with both Sales Director?s and senior management.
Assist Director of Sales Operations with training of new personnel on processes, practices and techniques of Sales Support function.
Develop and maintain content in our proprietary content database.
Conduct final quality review of distributed client documentation.
Receive and coordinate the collection of necessary project (includes RFP, RFI, RFQ, vendor qualifications, presentation work, non-competes, insurance/contract requirements, etc.) information from teams, including initial review of project documents and understanding of requirements.
Act as liaison between contracts department, Principal Architects (Pas), Solution Architects (SAs), and corporate finance/accounting representatives to cover all legal, pricing, and account information as requested in the clients? project-related documents and requests.
Manage projects across multiple teams and assign tasks/timelines to ensure completion.
Identify potential issues in the project documents and requirements, and follow up with assigned team members responsible for those task items.
Receive, edit, and proof all drafts from the teams according to your project timeline.
Track missed deadlines and follow up with teams or internal contacts as necessary to ensure the on-time delivery and completion of all responses.
Coordinate printing & delivery of proposals.
Follow up with client and/or team to ensure that the response was successfully delivered.
Find out as much information as possible about the client from the teams, Internet, other corporate departments, reports, etc.
Assist the Director of Sales Operations with the development of various dashboards, reporting tools and reports.
Participates in special projects and performs other related duties as required.
Desired Skills & Experience
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE & OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Four year college degree required.
5+ years of sales support, writing, editing, communications, project management, sales, marketing or other related experience.
Exceptional writing, editing/proofing, research and analytical skills
Advanced multi-tasking skills
Comfortable in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
Advanced knowledge of online RFP tools to include Ariba and Qvidian
Advanced knowledge of collaboration tools to include Microsoft Office SharePoint and Microsoft Outlook
Working knowledge of CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.com
Working knowledge of Project Management tools preferred
Process & Detail oriented
Excellent verbal communication skills
Sales and/or Marketing experience is a plus
