Full DescriptionThe Senior QA Engineer will participate in all phases of the software development life cycle. This role includes researching, designing and recommending testing solutions to optimize testing and resulting in more agile testing deliverables, reduction of risk, and higher quality products. The role will build strong relationships with a team of professionals, including product managers, application developers, IT, business unit SME's, operations and senior management to deliver the best quality products to our clients.
The ideal candidate has experience in building test automation frameworks, configuring continuous development/test environments and deploying cloud-based software.
Because this role provides critical support to many of the functional areas within Noesis, the candidate will have the opportunity to make a dramatic impact on the future successes of Noesis.
Responsibilities
--Work closely with testing management, testers and project teams to understand the
technical challenges and high-risk components and interfaces which need highly focused
testing to ensure quality objectives are met.
--Uphold existing quality assurance standards and processes and be a champion in driving
further improvements.
--Work closely with QA Manager on projects to ensure the success of the department and the
company.
--Perform manual testing to ensure the software meets stated requirements & designs, and
has a positive user experience. This may include black box, white box, positive, negative,
boundary, stress, integration, exploratory, usability, system, platform or regression testing
methodologies.
--Assist in implementing a test automation environment and testing process and execute
automated testing.
Qualifications:
--5+ years experience in software development, integration, or testing.
--Experience with UNIX shell scripting (bash, Perl) and windows automation.
--Experience with implementing automation testing at the UI and API level.
--Experience testing integrated Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions while applying industry
and QA standards and practices
--Experiencing finding and diagnosing application and OS errors.
--Experience with Apache HTTPD, or IIS 7.x.
--Experience with MYSQL or MS SQL.
--Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services cloud platform is desirable.
--Able to delegate testing tasks to team members appropriately and effectively
--Able to measures and confidence in software quality
