Position Summary
Job Description
PeopleAdmin is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our growing development team. The right candidate will be self-motivated and is passionate about delivering high-quality products. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an applications team automating tests for a high-volume HR/Talent Management application.
Responsibilities
?Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Cucumber
?Execute manual and automation tests
?Write and maintain functional and regression test cases
?Install/update software on machines in the test environments
?Maintain test environments
?Give feedback to internal teams on application flexibility, consistency, and user-friendliness, and provide information to help business stakeholders make the best decisions possible
?Advise the team about overall risks and trends
?Research, analyze, report and track defects
?Verify defect fixes
?Report status of testing tasks to QA and development teams
Qualifications
?6+ years of QA experience, including 3+ years of Test Automation
?Experience with RSpec and/or Cucumber is a huge plus
?Familiarity with Agile development principles is a plus
Skills/Experience
?Experience with Ruby and/or other scripting languages is preferred
?Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails and/or ability to read and interrupt intent in a large application is a huge plus
?Highly detail oriented and well organized
?Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
?Ability to identify small inconsistencies throughout a complex system
?Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team
?Must be self-motivated and take initiative in performing tasks
?Ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and written, to end users and executive management
Education
?Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
