Job Description
You need to be a hands-on Sr. QA Engineer leading a small team who will be responsible for a BigMachines application module. You will be required to participate in communication between build engineers, developers, QA, and development management. You will be responsible for building and maintaining QA standards, goals, and objectives and coordinating overall quality assurance schedules. You will be working with other experienced QA engineers to design, create, document, implement, and maintain test scripts and the test repository. You should be self-directed, and team and process oriented. This position requires initiative, hard work and the ability to remain flexible in am Agile development environment. You will have the opportunity to work with a smart, talented team of developers and quality assurance engineers on the BigMachines application, using the latest web technologies.

Duties
Providing necessary definition, development, and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development
Being responsible for creating QA plans and orchestrating the final delivery of software releases to customer visible environments
Establishing and maintaining policies for documentation of all test plans, test cases, and QA strategies and processes
Working with development team in an Agile environment to develop test plans, test cases, and QA strategies
Completing assigned test cases and test plans in a timely fashion
Participating in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, and security testing
Being responsible for high quality of assigned projects from software Quality Testing through final User Acceptance Testing
Performing both black box and white box testing of the BigMachines applications
Working with QA team members, software developers, and system and database administrators to trouble-shoot test failures in the various test/customer environments. This may include trouble-shooting database issues, reviewing server logs, etc.
Adhering to all BigMachines security policies, standards and procedures in the performance of job duties
Participating in security training provided by BigMachines
Reporting any potential security weakness, exposure or suspicious indications to manager
Skills/Requirements
A Minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related software engineering discipline, or equivalent
At least 5+ years' experience in QA and software testing
Experience using QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution
Experience testing web applications and using QA automation tools
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work constructively with developers, QA, Systems and Project managers towards a common goal
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Desired Skills:
Experience leading small teams
Knowledge of Relational Database and SQL queries
Experience with Java application development
Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum
Experience with XML / XSL
