Senior QA Engineer Sendmail

Job Description

Sendmails Engineering team is looking for an experienced QA Engineer with a working knowledge of automated testing methodologies in an Agile software development environment. The QA Engineer will require little mentoring help from fellow members of the team and will be sufficiently able to perform tasks independently. The expectations of a QA Engineer are as follows:

- Work as an integral member of the Engineering team to design and execute a complete test strategy, including automation and regression.
- Independently and without supervision, run load, performance, and stress tests.
- Manage known issues from the bug tracking system and provide Technical Support with updates that can be fed into the Knowledge Base.
- Assist with escalations for customer issues that are presented by the Escalation Manager.
- Volunteer to spearhead new QA initiatives as they are presented.

Qualified candidates must have:

- Bachelor degree from an accredited college in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years of QA experience.
- Working knowledge of agile software development methodology.
- Working knowledge of continuous build and integration, Maven and Hudson preferred.
- Working knowledge of UNIX and TCP/IP networking.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Perl, Python, C, C++.
- Working knowledge of automation frameworks, TestNG or JUnit a plus.
