The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will design and execute test protocols associated with client/server based machine vision systems and line management products throughout the entire development life cycle. Quality Assurance is ultimately responsible for overall customer satisfaction, while ensuring the consistency and quality of product offerings. Typical tasks include creating and executing both manual and automated software test plans, incoming material functional testing, production line quality checks, analyzing and reporting problems, and supporting multiple departments with quality related activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide training and mentoring to Jr. QA Analyst regarding proper procedures and methods associated with new product initiatives.
Perform quality testing of software and hardware elements as related to appropriate Functional/ Design Specifications.
Performs quality-engineering reviews of design and test documentation for compliance with stated requirements.
Create and modify quality assurance manual test plans.
Create, modify, and execute automated test scripts.
Provide feedback via issue reporting and bug tracking software to team members and management.
Perform incoming material functional inspections in accordance with approved specifications and procedures.
Provide input to product improvement initiatives.
Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
Provide training assistance to internal personnel (e.g. Professional Services staff) and end users (customers) as required.
Assist with design, construction, and implementation of new test structures and testing methods.
Performs basic wiring and troubleshooting of DC electronic circuits associated with product offerings
Applies basic statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current processes and make process improvement recommendations
Perform production line independent quality checks of systems and components prior to shipment
Assist with technical review of user and design documentation.
Prepares product release documentation and executes installation testing of software delivery media
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable government regulations and quality assurance codes and standards
Assists Product Development and Fulfillment Services teams with the creation and maintenance of the supplier design documentation control system
The Senior QA Analyst should have the ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and have excellent attention to detail. This position requires the ability to speak well before groups of employees and customers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s Degree from a four-year college or university or three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong experience with SQL Server, Server 2003
Experience with government regulations and quality standards pertaining to the pharmaceutical industry. (cGMP, GAMP, ISO9000, 21 CFR Part 11)
Experience with client/server architecture, and web based applications.
3-5 years experience in a software/hardware development environment
Strong knowledge of defect tracking and reporting
Knowledge of TCP/IP and Serial communications
Strong Documentation and Communication skills (English-both verbal and written)
1-2 years experience with automated testing tools (Rational SQA)
Knowledge of basic DC theory relating to communication signaling
