Summary:
Responsible for leading improvement initiatives to core business processes. Aids in the development and implementation of efficient and effective procedures and work instructions to improve the consistency, reliability, and timeliness of processes. Facilitates process development and improvement that ultimately improves the experience for our Customers. Performs internal audits of processes to identify opportunities for improvement and to determine level of compliance with applicable standards. Responsible for leading cross functional tiger team that is tasked to deliver results that support the company?s customer experience vision.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors degree; advanced degree desirable
Experience:
5+ years experience in a fast paced, high technology environment. Experience within companies that have geographically diverse product design, development, and manufacturing. Demonstrated achievement with process mapping, process control, and process improvement as well as creative problem solving. Experience with internal auditing and meeting facilitation is desirable.
Skills:
Practical understanding and application of improvement practices (e.g. problem solving, project facilitation, process mapping) in a fast paced engineering development environment. Demonstrated ability to balance the right amount of process control with the right amount of business flexibility.
Ability to build critical relationships and cultivate a high sense of urgency.
Ability to drive, document, and communicate cross functional process improvement and root cause/corrective action initiatives.
Ability to understand and communicate process requirements and improvements to internal constituents at varying degrees of technical sophistication and managerial responsibility.
Excellent organizational, problem solving, decision making, human relations, and communications skills. Able to manage conflict within a team to achieve a successful project completion.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Voice of the Customer and of the Process
Facilitates continual improvement within core business processes in a manner that drives process owners closer to Customer (internal and external) requirements;
Works with internal process owners to implement / identified changes to achieve desired process results;
Communicates internally on process improvements and customer satisfaction risks; and
Promotes creation and implementation of innovative processes and ideas.
Plans and executes internal audits, using them as a vehicle for driving cross functional collaboration, improvement, and standardization.
