? Formulates vision, strategy, focus, and business plan for supporting significant compliance initiatives within EverBank. Coordinate with the Legal Department to support the business by interpreting laws and regulatory requirements that are pertinent to major corporate initiatives; make recommendations and advise practical means for complying with such requirements. Areas of responsibility include regulatory issues that, if not completed correctly, could lead to regulatory fines and reputation risk for the Bank.
? Leads and manages diverse groups of internal associates and external parties. Delegates authority, assigns deliverables and manages performance management of the team including but not limited to coaching, mentoring and developing team members and creating corporate compliance awareness vehicles for ongoing training and education as the regulatory landscape changes.
? Understands and analyzes business workflow process and technology impacted by major corporate initiatives in order to ensure a high degree of regulatory compliance with mechanisms for reporting activity to regulatory agencies as appropriate. Leads the business in defining IT business requirements that result from these initiatives. Makes recommendations concerning revisions to business workflow, technology, procedures and training materials. Provides support and documentation for testing business process improvements.
? Collaborates with and directs internal departments to support compliance with federal, state and investor regulations including but not limited to: TILA, ECOA, Fair Lending regulations, HMDA, BSA/OFAC, RESPA, FDCPA, and others that must be brought to bear in relation to major corporate initiatives and designated line of business. Facilitates communication and interactions between business units assuring efficient use of resources and early conflict resolution. Seek methods to improve compliance position and processes that have a positive impact on the bottom line. Assemble and empower work teams or subgroups to support compliance deliverables.
? Influences and communicates at a high level or organizational communication and corporate awareness concerning regulatory compliance activities and developments. Makes compliance recommendations concerning business policy, procedure or process making sure that Bank?s highest levels of leadership are aware of regulatory risks and exposure that arise as a result of a particular corporate initiative. Drives change management influencing team members at all levels to gain acceptance regarding compliance objectives and outcomes.
? Participates in and utilizes Risk Assessment Program to identify areas of potential risk and promote mitigation solutions.
? May perform other related duties or ad hoc projects within the scope of responsibilities.
? Lead and direct all aspects of the Regulatory Compliance activities pertaining to designated Bank platform/Line of Business, and other bank-wide compliance initiatives including : (1) applicable Acts and Regulations; (2) regulatory relations with OCC and other potential supervisory agencies; (3) develop and/or review departmental and Line of Business policies and procedures as well as training materials; (4) Collaborate with Quality Control related to Regulatory monitoring and testing requirements; (5) supporting, as necessary, any other regulatory compliance initiative requested by the Bank?s senior Compliance or Legal management.
? Anticipates and reacts to regulatory compliance forces that could adversely affect the Bank through active involvement with industry associations and governmental bodies.
? Establish, manage and develop high performing teams that support regulatory compliance efforts.
? Sponsor, plan, and execute compliance oriented initiatives and projects.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Requirements)
? Thorough knowledge of the mortgage lending industry and mortgage ?related regulatory compliance issues and trends affecting the origination and/or servicing of retail/direct, broker, and correspondent sourced residential first and subordinate mortgage loans and lines of credit.
? Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential
? Must be proficient with Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
? Must have advanced research skills.
? Strong project management
? Works independently setting own priorities and objectives with supervisory consultation.
? May have an impact on the Division?s results, although controls are normally in place to limit significant negative consequences.
? Provides direction, coordination and control for the effective operation of team or unit.
Training and Experience
? Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
? Minimum 10years relevant professional level work experience
? Minimum 5 years in a management role with the responsibility to manage a departmental activity.
? Fully knowledgeable of assigned division/functional area and impacts or regulatory change.
