Senior Research Associate - DMPK EnVivo Pharmaceuticals
Duties:
Will design, coordinate, and execute preclinical pharmacokinetic studies to support small molecule structure-based drug discovery and development for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases; establish, design and conduct in vitro experiments using cell culture techniques and maintain immortalized, transfected and primary cell lines; create database systems for use in calculating cellular permeability and the uptake of compounds; establish and validate assays for drug transporter interaction estimation; work with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry and related bioanalytical methods for routine ADME sample analysis; perform and analyze data from in vitro enzyme kinetic studies for pharmacokinetic and drug metabolism studies; collaborate and coordinate with CRO for preclinical studies; organize and review experimental write-ups and study reports from CROs; analyze, interpret and communicate preclinical study data with project teams; utilize knowledge of drug discovery screening and high-throughput methods, as well drug metabolism principles; and conduct hands-on research to acquire, implement, and execute assays to support our lead optimization activities.
Requirements:
Master of Science degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Biological Sciences (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) as well as 2 years of experience in Job Offered or 2 years of experience in designing and conducting in vitro permeability and transporter experiments in Caco-2 cells. Experience must include: Demonstrated Expertise (?DE?) performing in vitro transporter studies in transfected cells and membrane vesicles, including use of radiolabelled compounds and radiochemical detection techniques for these studies; DE working with Caco-2 cells and performing permeability assays and drug transporter interaction studies using these cells; performing in vitro ADME studies including metabolic stability estimation in subcellular fractions, drug metabolising enzyme based drug-drug interaction studies and plasma protein binding assays; DE performing bioanalysis using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). EnVivo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is willing to accept a suitable combination of education, training and experience to satisfy the requirements.
