The company is seeking a Senior Revenue Analyst who will be responsible for performing insightful and impactful revenue analysis. This position is a highly visible role within the organization that requires someone with strong technical skills and solid interpersonal skills. This person will work closely with Sales and Legal. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, a versatile business partner with strong business acumen, coupled with exceptional technical strength that can provide proactive guidance and leadership on deal structuring and project management.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Partner with Sales and Legal in structuring transactions while satisfying GAAP requirements. Participate in discussions, review draft contracts, and provide recommendations for recognition in accordance with relevant accounting literature and Company?s revenue recognition policies.
Review customer arrangements to ensure compliance with ASC SC 605-25, ASC 985-605, ASU 2009-13, ASU 2009-14.
Evaluate and document revenue contracts and related revenue accounting treatment under current revenue recognition rules.
On a quarterly basis, update and maintain BESP/VSOE analyses and related documentation to ensure continuing compliance and proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
Perform month-end close tasks associated with revenue recognition.
Assist and provide advisory assistance with respect to product launches, new product offerings and related promotions to prevent technical accounting, policy or process issues in the area of revenue recognition
Perform accounting memo as necessary to document the Company?s accounting positions.
Provide revenue recognition guidance & training to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications for this role are:
Minimum of 8 years of related accounting experience
Undergraduate degree required in Finance or Accounting, Big 4 CPA desirable.
Experience with Oracle
Ability to identify critical revenue issues, articulate the impact and enlist necessary actions from cross-functional stakeholders.
Ability to communicate and influence up and dow the organizational matrix
Ability to work independently and perform multiple concurrent and diversified tasks.
