The primary responsibility of the RF Lab Technician is to assist engineering in acquiring data for new product verification. As part of the Characterization Infrastructure group, the RF Lab Technician is responsible for operating Peregrine?s automated test stations as well as making manual measurements. The candidate must be able to support test system calibration and maintenance, configuring custom bench test setups requiring the ability to work from schematics, diagrams, and written and verbal instructions, and demonstrate an understanding of the data collected through proper documentation and reporting. The assigned tasks will be diverse and will require organization and high attention to detail.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
Performing setup, calibration, and verification of automated test stations.
Configuring custom bench test setups from diagrams and instructions.
Acquiring design verification data through the use of automated and custom lab benches.
Providing first-order product debug efforts through data collection.
Properly documenting and reporting the collected data.
Assisting lab manger with lab maintenance and upkeep.
Knowledge, Skill and Competency Requirements
Competency is based on: education, training, skills and experience. In order to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and competencies:
Demonstrated RF test and measurement skills
Experience working with test and diagnostic equipment including, but not limited to, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal generators
Knowledge of wafer probe systems a plus
Enjoy hands-on work and exhibit a high mechanical aptitude
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal interaction skills
Education and Experience:
ASEE or ASEET preferred. Minimum of 2 years related experience in an RF product development laboratory environment
