Punchbowl.com is seeking to add another Rails developer to our team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience using Rails to build consumer-facing web applications. He or she also considers themselves a full stack developer and is able to take on projects that include back end development, infrastructure setup & configuration, and front end development.Why join us?
Punchbowl, Inc. is a small company (about a dozen people) but it is successful and growing. You will be working in an energetic and very fun startup environment. You will learn from (and hopefully teach) other experienced Rails developers. You will also see how engineering fits together with the other pieces of an organization to create a successful business.
On the engineering team, we stay current with the latest trends in web development and Ruby communities. We also strive to use the right tool for the job. Our platform is made up of several web applications. Current technologies we use include: Rails 2.3, Rails 3, bundler, RVM, Git, Shoulda, Rack Middleware, MySQL, MongoDB, Sinatra and Rails Metal. Not only will you play a key role in building the future of Punchbowl.com, but you will also play a role deciding how the engineering team evolves to meet the needs of Punchbowl.com as we grow.
