In order to reach our goals, we?re looking to hire a Senior Sales Director, East in Washington, DC or New York City to build, manage, and crush sales targets throughout the East. You will be an integral part of LivingSocial?s Senior Sales Leadership team with overall responsibility for revenue growth, sales strategy, and market share for your region.

Hire, develop, and retain a strong team of Sales Directors and outside sales teams to exceed revenue, market share, and new merchant targets in 10-12+ markets
Develop and implement a sales strategy aligned with the company?s goals and objectives to beat expectations on revenue, P&L, market share, and competitor ranking consistently including leverage the latest strategic sales techniques and best practices, cultivating strategic partnerships, and implementing a metrics-driven performance review processes
For key accounts and for development purposes, work directly with the General Managers to observe their performance and help in deepening relationships with the top clients and strategic accounts on an annual basis
Lead General Managers to implement programs to develop and retain their A players while coaching and, if necessary, removing those not meeting their goals
Communicate strategy, goals, and objectives effectively to the sales organization; manage change to maximize performance
Drive overall improvement of business by increasing signed merchants and the cross-sell of promotional channels to grow retention
Ensure growth by creating and developing relationships with strategic accounts and key partners to achieve revenue, subscriber and profitability goals
Provide input into product development based on customer wants and needs; contribute to corporate research and development efforts of the company, including customer monitoring, consumer research, competitor intelligence, and reporting
Serve as an integral member of the senior leadership team assisting the executive team in the achievement of company goals
Demonstrated knowledge of the market, including building partnerships with strategic accounts in a region
Verifiable track record of building a highly skilled, top producing sales force in multiple markets to exceed sales targets
Successful track record of leading a sales management team to exceed revenue targets including experience managing and implementing vision and strategy of the company in the field
Experience in planning and executing marketing and sponsorship campaigns that drive conversions and brand affinity across a region
Established ability to execute on all aspects of an office including infusing LivingSocial?s culture from HQ to your region
Extraordinary written, verbal and presentation skills are an absolute must
Demonstrated levels of dedication and ownership required to succeed at start-up speed
