We seek an experienced Sales Engineer to join the Service Assurance sales team and support Field Sales in Southeastern US territory. This position reports to the Vice President of Service Assurance Sales, Americas, and requires a virtual office located in territory and travel.
Responsibilities
Create, develop and own the technical relationship with the customer.
Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Engineering to present solutions to customers to secure sales orders.
Technically qualify opportunities and determine fit for Empirix products.
Perform sizing analysis, create associated product configurations, and create accurate quotes.
Present Empirix Service Assurance solutions portfolio, articulate Empirix value proposition, and position Empirix strengths to counter competitor products.
Prepare for and deliver field demonstrations of products.
Organize, manage, and execute on-site customer evaluations of our products.
Maintain demonstration equipment to the highest standards, and also ensure its suitability for the demonstrations to be carried out.
Hands-on diagnostic and trouble shooting of telecom networks.
Understand and document product problems and feature requests, communicate them internally.
Work with sales and marketing to develop answers to RFP-style requests.
Provide on-going customer support as needed.
Travel >50%.
Experience
5+ years pre-sales or Systems Engineering with carrier network operators or service providers.
Technical understanding and domain experience in VoIP, IMS and Mobile networks
Technical understanding and domain experience in Business Analytics and Performance Management tools
Experience in demonstrating complex, network-based applications, including voice, video and Mobile Broadband
Experience in preparing RFP responses.
Proven ability to work independently without significant supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
