POSITION SUMMARY
Sr. Sales Engineers are the most experienced technical resource for the field sales force. This position is responsible for managing the preparation and delivery of superior demonstrations, proofs of concept and RFX?s while acting as the key technical advisor and product advocate of Datacert?s products. In addition, Sr. Sales Engineers are able articulate in both the industry and technology to business and technical users.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations, both functional and technical across the entire Datacert Product line
Responsible for representing the product to customers at field events such as trade shows, conferences and partner seminars, via WebEx and at corporate offices
Able to manage and respond to the functional and technical elements of RFI, RFP and RFQs
Specify the technical approach and solution design
Provide business consulting regarding the proposed solution
Manage customized technical proofs of concept to align product features with client requirements
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain Datacert?s RFP Knowledgebase Library
Manage and maintain Sales Engineering Virtual Machine Sandboxes
Manage and maintain Sales Engineering Databases (MS SQL)
Support the Sales Engineers with complex demonstrations and RFPs
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Engineering or Science required
Certifications in IBM, HP, Microsoft products strongly preferred
Experience:
Minimum of four years of experience in pre-sales and or professional services with consulting firm or enterprise software company
Experience in the Legal Domain/Compliance or Law Firm Management required
Technical background experience with an understanding of operating systems, Microsoft or Oracle databases
Java, groovy experience preferred but not required

Ability to perform technical tasks such as installing and configuring software, querying database tables, and proposing application integration architectures

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OR INFORMATION
Ability to travel up to 50% (generally short, 1-2 day trips)
