Summary of Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Sales Engineer/Technical Consultant you will provide technical, product and functional support to help close sales opportunities with major financial lending institutions. You will work with the business development team throughout the pre and post-sales process, including participating & presenting in sales meetings and being active in technical discussions with prospective customers.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide pre and post-sales consulting. Ability to quickly assess Lender prospect needs and specific presentation needed for the business environment represented.
Preparing and maintaining sales tools such as demonstration and presentation software, executing demonstrations for prospective customers.
Answering technical questions regarding software capability, installation and system requirements.
Responsible for writing integration specifications detailing partner integrations and/or appropriately defining technical needs to the project management team.
Coordinate fulfillment of customer needs with the Product and Engineering teams.
Also work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to both disseminate and gather information to and from the field.
Some travel required.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
BA/BS degree in a related field, with 7-10 years of experience performing a technical, customer facing role.
Minimum 5 years pre-sales software/internet product support experience. Experience with mortgage technology is required.
Experience creating workflow and dataflow diagram, XML and internet technologies, development platforms is required.
Demonstrated experience in assessing customer needs and recommending technical solutions.
Proven ability to field technical questions and handle technical objections during the sales process with a consultative approach.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication skills and strong presentation skills.
Must possess strong self-motivation necessary to handle multiple tasks and project implementation details.
Must organize prospects in order to follow-up to move forward the continued sales efforts.
