Senior Sales Engineer Aerospike
Aerospike is looking for new Senior Sales Engineers to join a very energetic team in a new, intense space. Although the current vertical is in online advertising, the focus may widen to encompass new areas.
Be responsible for all technical aspects of the sales process. This includes the following:
The technical portion of the sales presentation, including demos and white board talks.
The technical responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
Maintaining prompt and professional communication with prospects, customers, and internal team members.
Development of new material in support of sales opportunities.
Leading discussion of customer architectural goals and gap analysis.
Participate in internal meetings.
It may be necessary for the SE to handle initial deployments and on-site training.
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
Proven track record of selling enterprise software to development and operations.
Technical background in databases, Web development, and operations.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Desire and drive to work in a new, highly dynamic space.
Must be able to travel to customer sites in the area to conduct meetings. May require international travel.
Ability to speak in front of large technical audiences and CTOs/VPs of Engineering.
5+ years experience developing or running operations on Web sites, preferably with online advertising.
5+ years experience with Linux/UNIX administration.
3+ years experience with databases (NoSQL databases a plus).
Experience with C, C++, C#, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby are a plus.
Experience with SSDs and other hardware is a plus.
