About the job:
Twilio Sales Engineers equip customers and prospects to successfully implement Twilio-powered solutions. Acting as the primary technical contact for a diverse customer base, Twilio Sales Engineers are highly competent IT/software generalists and are conversant with all stages of the software development lifecycle.
The Sales Engineer role is predominantly inside-focused, with a maximum of 25% travel and at least quarterly visits to Twilio HQ in San Francisco.
Based in New York City.
Together with an Account Representative, educate prospects and customers on what is possible with Twilio and share best practices for implementing common use cases.
Understand customer requirements and communicate the business value of solving technology problems using Twilio.
During a customer's implementation, assist developers, product managers and project owners with any and all product issues that arise.
Prepare demos and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate various use cases for Twilio's APIs.
Assist developers with debugging their code in a variety of programming languages.
Document the architectural solutions that customers have designed and deployed.
Distill and communicate customer needs to Twilio?s Product Management group.
Experience in a client-facing technical role.
Professional exposure to software development processes and enterprise IT procurement and implementation.
A world-class communicator. Confident dispensing knowledge to a highly-skilled and experienced audience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable technical field.
It would be great if you built a Twilio app yourself before you come in to talk to us (hint, hint).
