About the job:
Twilio Sales Engineers equip customers and prospects to successfully implement Twilio's APIs. As the primary technical contact for a diverse customer base, Twilio Sales Engineers are highly competent IT/software generalists and are conversant with all stages of the software development lifecycle.
The Senior Sales Engineer role is predominantly Enterprise (outside) sales focused, with flexible travel at around 20%.
Based in San Francisco.
Together with an Enterprise Account Representative, educate prospects and customers on what is possible with Twilio and share best practices for implementing common use cases.
Understand customer requirements and communicate the business value of solving technology problems using Twilio.
During a customer's implementation, assist developers, product managers and project owners with any and all product issues that arise.
Prepare demos and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate various use cases for Twilio's APIs.
Assist developers with debugging their code in a variety of programming languages.
Document the architectural solutions that customers have designed and deployed.
Distill and communicate customer needs to Twilio?s Product Management group.
5 years professional experience in a technical consultation role: pre-sales or post-sales. Technical sales or business development experience strongly preferred.
Professional exposure to software development processes and enterprise IT procurement and implementation.
A world-class communicator. Confident dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable technical field.
It would be great if you built a Twilio app yourself before you come in to talk to us (hint, hint).
